What to Expect

Filling out forms ~ Of course, what office visit would be complete without a few forms to fill out? We have a standard patient information form as well as a detailed health form. We will mail these to you to fill out before your first acupuncture visit.

Consultation ~ A private consultation, which includes a candid discussion of your emotional and physical state, is important for a complete understanding of your condition.

Examination ~ The exam includes both Western and Oriental methods and may include blood pressure, reflexes, range of motion testing as well as tongue and pulse examination.

Diagnosis ~ Information gathered through the consultation and exam is used to create a comprehensive picture of your condition.

Treatment ~ The acupuncture treatment is performed using pre-sterilized needles which are inserted at the appropriate acupuncture points. You may feel tingling, pressure or

warmth, but little discomfort because the needles are so fine. Some needles are the diameter of a human hair. The treatment usually takes 45 minutes to an hour and includes a period of rest.

Herbs ~ Treatment for many conditions includes the use of high quality traditional herbal formulas. Our herbal products are imported from both Japanese and Taiwanese manufactures under the strictest regulations. The combination of acupuncture and herbal treatment often speeds the healing process.

Financial Policy ~ Our staff is dedicated to making your visits to our office as pleasant as possible. This includes your peace of mind regarding payment for the services we provide. Payment should be made at the time of service unless a prior agreement has been made. We also accept Visa and Mastercard payments for your convenience.
